Newport weekend

After two whole days of being back home from Texas, we packed up the car and headed up to Newport, RI for Trevor and Ashley's wedding. Again, didn't take hardly any pictures - except for this little cutie in his seersucker suit! Please notice he is wearing orange and navy swim shoes because Cian will only wear these and his sneakers right now. Had the cutest pair of navy Toms that sit in a box unused (as Cian acts like there are razor blades hidden inside Toms)... But figured the water shoes were better than his neon yellow sneakers!

And with keeping things real, this is why we left the cocktail party. Cian's meltdown. Got him dinner, changed into pjs and put Cars on the ipad and he was happy as can be. And we were happy once the babysitter relieved us  and we got to party at the wedding!

Funny Cian-isms

The more Cian is talking, the funnier he is becoming...

Walking around the block last night, when our neighbor got pizza delivered. Cian sees the pizza boxes and yells:

Pizza!
I like pizza.
Mommy likes pizza, Daddy likes pizza, Cian LOVES pizza.

Josie's graduation

How is this girl old enough to be graduating from high school????

All grown up, so beautiful and so smart. Wants to change the world, already involved with crazy Texas politics and trying to take down the good ol' southern republicans.

So off to Texas we went for Josie's graduation and a chance to see my family! But first, Cian's FIRST plane ride. Oh no. We were scared. But with a little help from Benadryl, he did fine. Nothing like drugging your son....

Some house updates

We have been slowly making updates to the outside of our house. Last fall, I painted the ugly foundation a nice grey color, we had our shutters and front door painted and this spring we got some major landscaping help. The bushes our builder put in 3 years ago were too close and were over-crowding so everything needed to come out and be replanted.
