Christmas fun

Christmas was so much fun this year with Cian and most of my family in town. As always the holidays went by too fast. So much anticipation, planning for a couple of days. I miss my family already!


Last year was our first year in the house and I was pregnant, so I didn't decorate very much. This year, I went a little overboard, buying new things and experimenting...

to jump off the stairs to get it to. Not very smart. 

Out back I put lights on one of the trees. It was awesome!

I'm chalking up the first holiday with Cian as a learning experience. Now I know why people are at the mall the day before Thanksgiving getting pictures with Santa. Its because they have learned that once you have a child, simple tasks that used to take a day, like decorating the house, now takes three weekends. So next year, we will be shopping for Christmas presents in September and visiting Santa during Thanksgiving so we can try to enjoy the holidays!

Santa!

Cian's first picture with Santa. This was a second attempt- first night we arrived at Santa to realize it was "bring your pet to Santa" night. Yeah, so not standing in line for an hour with a hundred dogs, rabbits and who knows what else. 

I think I was more excited than he was. And I was expecting tears, but we managed to get a couple of shots before the tears came. I love this picture- notice Santa's death grip on Cian's arm? That's to stop our little boy from going head first off the chair. And yes, still no shoes for Cian. Sigh. 

10 months old

Cian turned 10 months old on Thursday, December 13th. We spent the morning at the doctors with a one of his many colds. He weighed 21lbs and 9.8oz

We have 6 teeth - two on the bottom and four on top. The top teeth all came in at the same time- that was fun! He is starting to "creep" much more around the furniture. And he is really enjoying table food a lot. Loves French Toast and Pancakes, Mashed Potatoes, and all green vegetables. This kid can put some peas away!

He just loves Tasha and Boris, when he can catch them. And he loves giving "hugs" - he crawls up to you and lays his head on you. Its so adorable!
