7 months!

Well, Cian is 8months old now so its probably a good time for me to post pictures from last month's 7month onsie photo shoot....

Cian turned 7 months old on Thursday, September 13th.  We didn't have a doctor's appointment this month, so no updates on his weight or height. Last month he was 17lbs 13.6 ounces so he is definitely getting closer to 18-19 lbs. He's wearing 9 month clothes now and carrying around him in the infant carrier is getting trickier (in regards to me not hitting things with him in the carrier because he is so heavy!)

We have two little teeth on the bottom, which Cian loves to show off. And we finally found something he does not like to eat- Sweet Potato Puffs! He does not like those at all! ha ha

Cian's getting closer to crawling, but is still content with rolling everywhere. He gets places with his rolls- the cats have learned they need to keep more aware around Cian and he has snuck up on them. He thinks Boris and Tasha are just great, and giggles everytime they come near. He has gotten a couple of handfuls of their fur but so far the cats take it in stride. The three of them are becoming quite the buddies, with everyone teasing each other....

Some funny pictures showing how hard the monthly pictures are becoming with Cian and 2 cats...
Boris and Tasha having a blast in the clothes basket and Cian wanting to be closer to the action

Nothing like a cat walking thru your photo

Oh look, I can play with the blanket mommy is using as the back drop....

Fun, now Borris is playing hide and seek with me!

Must. Get. Tasha....

September Fun!

Where did September go and how did I miss an entire month? Our weekends have been crazy busy and our week nights jammed packed. Here are a couple of highlights from September, but mostly cute pictures of Cian:

Brian had a boys weekend with these guys up in Portsmouth, NH for Shannon's bachelor party. My only request: bring home steak tips!

While Brian was away, Cian and I enjoyed the last warm days of late summer and got some final wear out of his cute summer clothes (cue my tears!)
Some of Cian's funny faces

more funny faces

Totally captivated by this toy

and this one too...

Cian with his mouth open...

Our little cutie all ready for daycare

Cian trying to push himself to his jumparoo

His favorite expression this month: mouth WIDE open

Same facial expression! And the crazy cats teasing him by staying just out of reach...

Cian ignoring me and my camera

No more plopping Cian on the sofa! He is on the move

Jackson's Baptism

Still getting caught up on our blog....

On September 8th we went to our little nephew's baptism where Brian was honored to be chosen as one of Jackson's godfathers.

The little cutie, in his baptism outfit!

Kristin and Noel watching Jackson get baptized

Jackson's godparents, Trevor and Brian, with mom and dad
Kevin testing out his new theory: if you are holding a baby in church, you don't have to sing

The Hodges / Blairs

At Jackson's party - Peggy, Cian, Jackson and Kristin. Look at how huge Cian's head is compared to Jacksons!

Cian REALLY likes Bananas

Frozen bananas. Who knew frozen bananas could bring so much joy to a little boy?

Look at me!

When we got home from vacation in August, Cian showed off his two new milestones:

Sitting up

And getting his feet in his mouth.

Cian, someday in the very far future when you knees crack and your back hurts, you are going to look at this picture and be very impressed with your flexibility.

Summer Vacation! (a bit late)

I am on a mission to get caught up on my blog posts, so bear with me as I post a million updates!!!

Back in August we went on our first family vacation. We had such a wonderful time at Sea Isle City. There is just something about the shore that makes me so happy. It was such a relaxing, wonderful week - it went by too fast and I'm already counting down the days until next summer's week at the shore.

And we are off on our first family vacation! Cian is hidden back them somewhere... wow, we have to bring A LOT of stuff with a little baby
Our beautiful beach house for the week
And the view of the ocean right out our door
the grill that had never been cleaned, so it caught on fire!

Cian's first bathing suit. He was very excited with it!

But not so excited about the ocean

watching the waves with Daddy

horseshoes and paddle ball on  the beach

Buddies taking naps on the beach together

Pop pop taking both Jackson and Cian on their morning walk

Joe got lots of attention for this, including marriage proposals and free drinks

Such a nice life- Cian enjoying his first taste of canteloupe with the ocean in the background

Loved our morning walks when the beach was so quiet

Some fun shopping during our walks

Jackson and Noel having fun on the deck

Enjoying our great view from the deck! Drinking Coronos, eating yummy happy hour snacks and watching the ocean.  Here's Grammie with Bailey and Cassidy
Kristin (enjoying her last week of maternity leave before going back to work), Jackson and Noel

Cian showing how big he is getting by sitting in a high chair at dinner

Cian's three really long strands of hair. His first comb over!

Cian and Brian both in bibs!

Jackson and his grandmother, Henny, enjoying the sunset

Uncle Kevin torturing poor Cian. This is Cian's favorite pose too - he's ready to take flight!

I would like to say this is JB watching the boats... but he could be watching our umbrella and chairs and making sure no one comes near our beach space!!!
trying to get the boys to smile at the same time.... impossible!

My two men!

a little blurry, Brian needs more practice with the camera

Nothing beats soft serve with sprinkles at the shore : )

The perfect souvenir for when you are home and blue- shore fudge!

Some more of my favorite shore moments that I didn't get pictures of:

Feet in the cool sand
Playing in the waves
Evening walks on the promanade
Flying a kite
Happy Hour on the deck
Reading a book in your beach chair as the sun sets
Seafood from Mike's
Late night mini golf (which becomes a whole different game when playing with an pro golfer! Poor Noel didn't get any congrats after his THIRD hole in one)
Sand everywhere, even in your bed!
