First Snow!

Here are a couple of pictures of Cian playing in the snow for the first time. He refused to wear gloves, so yes, he was outside with bare hands for a couple of minutes. Numerous mittens and gloves were soon ordered online to find a pair that will stay on his hands...

Someone was not happy to come inside. He wanted to keep playing in the snow!

New Look

The time has come to say goodbye to the old header image. You know how much I hate change. But with Cian being almost two years old, this picture was a little out dated. Sigh. But I loved this header! And making a new one is hard - I'm not a graphic designer. The time I have wasted in front of the computer, ignoring Christmas decorating, shopping, picking up the house, spending time with Brian as I try to figure out the new header.... my priorities need a kick in the butt.

Fall / Christmas Photo Shoot

Six years ago in November, Brian and I got married. Before the wedding ceremony we all went to a park for pictures. Our wedding photographer had found the park and told our wedding planner, who gave the limo driver directions. We had so much going on at that time, we never remembered the name of the park or how to get there.

For the last six years, every time we were in the Ft. Washington / Ambler / Huntingdon Valley area and drove by a park, we would look to see if that was the park we took our wedding pictures. It was so odd that we couldn't remember where this park was and that we haven't been able to find it, even when we moved closer to the area two years ago.

Until November 17th. We were having our pictures taken by our photographer Beth for our Christmas cards and she suggested we meet at Prophecy Creek for pictures. Its literally two minutes down the street from our house. Its right next to the elementary school where we take Cian to play on their playground, but set further back in the woods. We pulled up and saw a red barn that looked very familiar...

So, yeah. We are living two minutes away now from where we took our wedding pictures six years ago. All those times looking for the park and I used to drive by it everyday! So weird but so much fun that its right in our backyard now.

Anyway, here are some of the pics we took---

I just love that the brick tower we leaned against 6 years ago is now the tower Cian runs around.

Joshua's visit

Josh and Christie visited Philly over Thanksgiving. They did a little sight seeing in philly, we enjoyed a super relaxing and quiet Thanksgiving, went to dinner at Teresa's and spent a very cold Saturday in NYC. We had a ton of fun, especially loved getting to know Christie better. Wish we all lived closer : (

Mom and Dad's Visit

Here are some pictures from Mom and Dad's visit - it was perfect timing during my time off between jobs! And Brian and I got to sneak away for a night in Philly to celebrate our 6th anniversary, Brian's job promotion and my new job while Cian got spoiled by his grammie and pa.

Goodbyes and New Adventures

After 10 months of job hunting, 6 months of talking with Lincoln Financial and 6 rounds of interviews - its time to start my new career adventure! After 17 (!) years of working at advertising agencies, I'm going client side. Very excited as I desperately needed a change.

But with new adventures, come goodbyes. And we know how I hate change. And goodbyes. Leaving my job was easy, but saying goodbye to Cian's first daycare was hard. He's been there since he was 3 months old and the place is awesome. He has his little friends (Rhielan, Sean, Andrew, Molly, and Ellington) that he has known since they were all 12 weeks old.

I cried when I had to tell them Cian was leaving. I cried when I had to pack up his stuff. I cried when his teachers gave me this photo album:

umm, this is the best picture ever!!!!

With every goodbye, comes a hello. So here's to our new adventures and new friends.
