Birthdays

Just a couple of pictures to mark our birthdays this year. We can't have this blog only be about Cian ; )

 

For Brian's 38th birthday on April 16th, we went out to dinner at Radice, a rustic Italian place down the street and then celebrated the following weekend with a baseball game with Jeff, Shannon and Jen. I tried to start a new tradition of taking a picture of the birthday boy by the birthday wreath- but I got a crappy picture. And then we forgot to do this for my birthday, so maybe next year!

 

For my big 4-0 birthday, I cut my hair off. Wanted to try and look younger- ha ha! For my birthday, we went to Teresa's Next Door, a little restaurant in Wayne that has an amazing cheese menu and the best steak frites. The anticipation of turning 40 was the worst part, now its back to life as normal - lying about my age and pretending I'm still in my 30's.

 

 

And a special thank you to the birthday babysitter. Cian got to spend lots of time with G-ma these past couple of weeks with all of the birthday celebrations!

Our Boston

Thoughts, prayers and heavy hearts with Boston, my favorite town in the world. So sad and mad that someone could do this. I have so many wonderful memories of watching the Boston Marathon. Watching the elite runners come down Boylston. Cheering on the regular runners as they cross the finish line. Watching families and friends cheer on loved ones with signs. Celebrating the race at parties at the restaurants along Boylston. Such happy, simple times that its hard to fathom someone did this.

The second bomb exploded right next to the Atlantic Fish Company (right next to Crate and Barrel)-
this is where I used to watch the marathon at a private party every year.

Signed Cian up for Mommy and Me swimming classes with his little buddy Rhielan and his mom. So cute to see the boys hanging out together. And Cian is loving the water - we can dunk him under water without tears!
