Kevin's iron man

We headed down to the eastern shore of Maryland to cheer Kevin on during his iron man. We had a lot more fun during the day than Kevin- while he swam, biked and ran we slept in late, drove down to MD, had a nice lunch, rested at the hotel and went out to dinner! In the pouring rain, around 10:30pm Kevin crossed the line and officially became an iron man. Such an accomplishment, so proud of him!!!

Doesn't every Iron Man event have Legos?

Cian photo bombing Pop pop and Jackson's picture!

Getting ready to cheer on Uncle Kevin

Starting the final leg - running!

It was raining so hard - nothing like finishing in the rain!

Success!

End of summer fun

Summer came and went too fast. Soon it was our last weekend at our pool and enjoying ice cream on Labor Day... so sad.

Here is a little video of Cian's favorite game- hide and seek with Daddy

Summer Vacation at Sea Isle

Here are some pictures from our summer vacation in Sea Isle.... I realized upon coming home from Sea Isle that I hardly captured any adults on vacation, just a lot of Cian and Jackson. But we had a wonderful time, very relaxing and lots of fun playing with Cian at the beach.

Packed and ready to go - had to include our annual shot of the backseat. Not bad this year, although we did have the roof rack....

Even though we were at the beach, we spent a lot of time at the playground with these boys...

And we discovered this fun ride (lord help Cian when Uncle Josh gets him on the teacups)

We went on a surrey ride..

Went out for dinner...

And we also had lots of fun at the beach...

These two gave me a run for my money trying to get both of them to smile at the same time...

We tried the ferris wheel and merry go round ... which didn't go so well. But the giant slide was a hit...

The grown ups got to enjoy a night out as well!

Cian was a big fan of blueberry waffles!

Skip's Golf Tournament

Last weekend Joe helped organize a golf tournament in Skip's memory to help raise money for the scholarship in Skip's honor. They had a huge turn out, even with the heat wave. Here are some pics of the Blairs enjoying the day... none of me, I need to get better at being in pictures instead of always taking them.

Shannon, Brian, Westie and Jeff

Joe, Lacey, Noel and Kristin

Kevin and his friend Surface
Since I don't golf,  I helped with the signage. Made over 60 signs for hole sponsorships and all the signage for the raffle table. Couldn't believe all of the items people donated for the raffle in honor of Skip - such a great tribute!

Bubbles, take 2

With Jason moving to Maryland, he stopped by last weekend to visit and bought Cian a bubble machine. I think we have reached our limit on bubbles in the Blair household!

Beware- my voice is very loud and screechy in this video. You have been warned....

And a funny video on why football might not be in Cian's future.... with a little appearance from Jason's dog, Boo. No, that was not a ground hog.

House updates

Here are some pics of two projects we just finished up around the house--

First up, our way to track Cian's height. Funny memory - every time I think about marking children's height on a wall, I think of Leslie's kitchen with PEYTON written in giant kid's handwriting in black sharpie marker from when Josie added her friend's height when they little.  Its still there, right?

Anyway, Brian wanted to mark Cian's height on a wall, but I was afraid we would lose this memory if we moved. So a quick search on pinterest and I found this awesome idea. One trip to buy a piece of wood, a little paint and some distressing -- now we have this cute ruler!

Our second update is a little scary, even for me. I've been in love with these custom kitchen drawer organizers forever. For years!!! You send the guy your drawer measurements, how you want the drawer arranged and he sends you a custom wood insert. So I finally took the plunge and got them for all ten of our kitchen drawers. Its a little scary. Its very organized. I love them, but I'm also a little scared I have gone too far. And I know when Josh comes to visit, they will all get switched around on purpose!

Here they are - so pretty, waiting to be installed...

Here are the before and after for each drawer... Its a little scary (or pathetic) I know....
