Class Picture Time!!

Didn't we just have class pictures???  I was away traveling for work, so Brian got the fun of getting Cian ready for school pictures. Interesting how a pull over that has been in Cian's closet all winter long, one that he refused to wear for me, suddenly is the piece of clothing Cian had to wear that day (even though its too big for him). Whatever Brian did, we got the best smiles yet from Cian so daddy might be in charge of school picture day from now on.

Look at that giant smile!

So cute!!
ummmmm, is Cian stoned??? Best picture yet!

and of course, the cheese collage.

Random March pictures

Took Cian bowling for the 1st time with our neighbors. I don't think I've been inside a bowling alley for 20+ years! I was not expecting such a nice, fun place! And they have these cute little dinosaurs that the kids use to give their balls some speed!

Big news- we have now graduated to a normal hair cut place (instead of driving 45+ minutes to the kids only place) and Cian doesn't cry anymore! Bribing with lollipops does wonders!

How do you get a kid to eat veggies? Smoothies! Enjoy that kale and spinach Cian - ha ha ha

Cian's 3rd Birthday Party

On Sunday, we had a small party for Cian's 3rd birthday. Poor Cian, he'll get a lifetime of Valentine's Day cupcakes passed off as his birthday treats and freezing cold parties. This year it was a whopping ten degrees outside.

We took Cian, Jackson and Rhi to a bouncy house in the morning, meeting up w/ Malia and Desean. Then everyone came back to our house for some dinner, cake and presents. This year, Cian requested a "Super Why" party...

Super Why capes and masks for the boys

Another awesome cake by Robyn - so good!

And this little guy loves seeing his cakes each year

ahhh too cute! Getting their capes on.

Oh my!

the saddest little super hero ever!

So serious!

So excited for his cake! Wouldn't even take off his cape

3 years old!

I can't believe how fast time goes by. Cian is already 3 years old. He is loving being a "big boy!" He was moved up into his preschool class, which he loves because they have a pet rabbit and goldfish. Two very important things needed to enjoy school, obviously.

Cian is still pretty quiet and shy around new people. Like Uncle Noel says "like a cold car, Cian has to warm up". But once he is comfortable with you, he turns into a total goofball. He is so funny, does a little happy dance if you can catch it, and makes the strangest noises and faces now. Has a total sugar addiction (100% my fault- hello sprinkles on your pancakes!). He could live off of jellybeans, donuts and ice cream w/ sprinkles. Dr Seuss books have become his latest favorite books- Fox with Socks with pure torture to a parent who just worked all day, ran home and made dinner, cleaned up, gave a bath and is now counting the minutes until they can collapse. Here- read this rhyming, tongue twister book as fast as possible!

The cats have a hate / run for your life / sort of like relationship with Cian. When he pets them, they love him. The other times he is chasing them, shoving a toy in their face or trying to poke their nose. Still scared of dogs and won't go near them - no matter how small. He just loves little babies and wants one badly. Even asked Brian last week if he could buy one! He thinks that his cousin Shea is his little sister, because "Jackson got Carter."

He is the sweetest, most lovable little boy and we just love him to bits. His hugs and kisses are the best thing in the world and I count my blessings every day that we got this little miracle. Its so much fun to watch him learn and grow. Not so much fun to listen to the whining or be completely ignored --- ahhhhh, three is fun! Regardless, we wouldn't change a thing. Its been such a blast having Cian, just can't believe it was three years ago he was born.

Snow Day

I haven't been very good at keeping up with our blog this winter. Its been super cold this winter but not a lot of snow. Just freezing cold. Its been brutal. Brian's job continues to be completely insane. He basically works 24/7 and its now expected conference calls on a Sunday night during dinner are perfectly fine. Ugh. Here's hoping spring brings better things on that front!

My job has been busy but fun and rewarding. After a year of being at Lincoln Financial, I've launched a very successful Thanksgiving campaign, hopefully soon to be award winning Thanksgiving campaign (fingers crossed) and I'm now prepping the launch for our new advertising campaign. Lots of fun but busy with traveling to NYC for our agencies and focus groups. In my "off" hours - I've been getting Cian's birthday party ready, recovery from more fun fertility surgery and just trying to stay sane. Trying.

Really I'm ready for some sun on my face, green grass and a some blue sky. Until then, here are some pics from one of our only snow storms this winter

Paci free and I didn't cry (yet)

This weekend was a big weekend for us - Cian said goodbye to his paci. Ok, we forced him to do it.

We had a little countdown all week long with a trip to the toy store as a reward. Saturday morning we put all of Cian's pacis in a box and taped it up (this was more for me, to prevent me from getting a paci out!). Cian wanted to give his old pacis to his little cousins so we put the box aside and took our first paci- free nap. Well, we tried. Lots of signing, jumping and a little crying. Bedtime went better, probably because he was so exhausted.

Its been almost a week and we are going good.  A little tired, as it takes Cian awhile to get to sleep without his paci  but we were not expecting it to go so smoothly, whew!

Christmas 2014!

I can't believe Christmas came and went already. It went so fast this year! We had a wonderful Christmas, so much fun with Cian this year. He loved the decorations and lights, the tree and all of the candy! He quickly figured out unwrapping presents and wanted to play with each new toy immediately. Worked out that we had a quiet house this holiday, so the three of us could hang out and play with our new toys!

I realized I hardly took any pictures this year... here are a couple

Our beast of a tree! It was over 9' tall and so dense. I might even say it was too big!

Leaving milk and cookies for Santa
And leaving reindeer food outside for Santa's reindeers
and you need carrots too! Here is a little video on Cian getting the carrots and chatting about Christmas (can't view on your phone)

A boy and his legos. And Cian too! ; )
Cian and his buddy Olaf.

On December 26th we headed to NJ to celebrate Christmas with the Blairs / Hodges. And again I took maybe 3 pictures. Was enjoying the day too much and forgot to take pics!

Goofy #1 and Goofy #2. Think these two are excited to open presents?
