Father's Day

I'm late at posting pictures from Father's Day. We had a nice relaxing weekend and enjoyed steaks on the grill to celebrate Brian's first father day.

Here are some pics from Father's Day and a couple of Cian pics:

Brian and Cian on Father's day. Not only do they look alike but they dress alike too!

Mommy fail- Cian's first art project. Done by daycare and not me. Crap!

Brian and Cian playing with the iPad. Cian loves being naked! And in the future, if Cian gets in trouble for streaking apparently it will be my fault.

Two things that will go away- Cian's baldspot in the back of his head and his strawberry mark.

Our little cutie! Smiling away

School Pictures

So we now get to enjoy having "school" pictures taken! Wow- they start these early. Three months out of the womb and we are getting hit up to take school pictures. He isn't even in school yet! I'm a little upset I didn't get the "fantasy" background I selected!

Here are Cian's first school pictures - taken when he was 3 months and just started daycare.

This kid's expressions crack us up! The picture on the left side is his usual expression when we put him on his tummy. That's his "you have got to be kidding me" expression. And the picture on the right looks like a mug shot (the stripes don't help!) Awesome.

Still didn't stop us from buying the package though - we are such suckers!

We have to do what?

We have the world's most congested child. And now, we have to take our remedies to "the next level"......

Dear God-

Please give me strength to do this to my child:

without vomiting on his head. Thank you.

We have Rollover!!!

We reached a major milestone- Cian can rollover!!!

We weren't expecting the first rollover, so we didn't have the camera ready but here is his second attempt.

(Ok, we know he might be rolling over non-stop at daycare. But they are nice people and would never tell us this since they wouldn't want to get us upset about missing key moments. So as far as the record books are concerned, this is Cian's second roll-over.)

Grown up fun!

Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. G-ma Peggy was busy Friday night babysitting both of her grandsons, Cian and Jackson, while we attended Brian's cousin, Lori's, wedding. Her and Patti did a great job babysitting the boys! And we got to enjoy a grown ups night out!

wow- my hair isn't in a ponytail!

Brian, Kristin and Kevin. This was Kristin and Noel's first night away from Jackson. She looks fabulous - never would know she had a baby FOUR weeks ago!

Our little sweetie! All ready to take a nap.

His latest nickname is "cat nap Cian" due to his fondness for taking 15 minute naps. Which are awesome, soooo happy about those! Its so much fun trying to get things done when your child only naps for 15 freaking minutes through out the day. Anyway.....

This is how he takes naps- in his swing, with his bunny under one arm, his blue blanket under the other arm and a blanket on top. He loves his little bunny blanket that my friend Randi gave him. Might have to buy a backup in case anything happens to this one!

Usually he rubs the bunny all over his face and falls asleep with it on top of his face so he can give his poor mom a heart attack.

New things to play with!

We set up Cian's jumparoo rain forest thing this weekend. Really, could this toy be any larger???

He is a little young for it, but we thought he would enjoy sitting up and looking / reaching for some new toys. What we didn't expect was for him to either be completely mesmerized by the red tucan or complete terrified by it! All he does is stare at the red parrot, not making a move.  Seriously, he doesn't move an inch. Its like he believes if he moves the tucan will attack him.  Its pretty funny and really entertaining for Brian and I - ha ha!

Here he is, staring at the tucan....

Five minutes later......still staring.....

still at it. Its really funny in person. We don't need babysitters, we just need the red tucan!

In other news, we also set up the high chair for Cian.  (Try to control your jealousy over our exciting lives!) Obviously, I live in denial as I still act like I'm living in a small city apartment, because I hate to purchase large baby stuff.  I refuse to buy a giant high chair that I will trip over and instead bought this smaller chair that attaches to our chairs. It reclines up and down and swivels side to side- pretty fancy!  So far, I like it but the five point harness may get annoying when he is older.  Cian enjoyed the test run a lot. He liked having his toys on the tray and really liked being with us at the table.  Does this mean Brian and I have to stop eating in front of the tv on the couch and eat at the table???

Cian, very proud of himself, for getting promoted to the kitchen table from the bouncy chair
